About the Club
The Southern Ohio Ford Club began in 1999 with a small group of men and women who are true Ford enthusiasts. The club developed around the pride that its members take in the products produced by the Ford Motor Company.
The Southern Ohio Ford Club is a non-profit organization based in southern Ohio. The club is open to anyone interested in Ford-powered vehicles. Ownership of a Ford vehicle is not a requirement, but members must be true Ford fans.
The club cars currently range from early Model T's to a variety of late models. There are a variety of stock, original, slightly modified, and personalized automoblies as well as totally radical and wild street machines, street rods, race cars, trucks and vans. The variety of cars should satisfy all Ford enthusiasts.
The March 11, 2010 meeting will be held at The Grand Restaurant and Tavern located at 104 E. Emmitt Ave. in Waverly, OH at 7:00pm.
The club holds a variety of cruise-ins and a few drag races throughout the summer months. Members also gather together to go to cruise-ins put on by other local clubs, to cruise through local towns while taking in the sites and a little history, and go on a few picnics each year. Members of the club have traveled to the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan and some enjoyed a cruise along the floodwall in Portsmouth, Ohio to view the historical murals. The club also holds an annual all Ford show in September at Vallery Ford in Waverly, Ohio. The Southern Ohio Ford Club annually donates proceeds to a variety of charities and organizations such as the American Cancer Society, Children's Miracle Network, The Mike Vallery Scholarship Fund, and the Dave Thomas Scholarship Fund. In the past, the club has also contributed to the Ronald McDonald Hoouse, Toys for Tots, and the American Red Cross.
Come and join all the fun!
